Quick knockdown on Green Street

On Saturday, April 5th 2014, BFD responded to an apartment fire at 119 Green Street. The incident was upgraded to a second alarm upon arrival but due to hard work of responding personnel, the fire was contained mostly to the room of origin. The point of origin was determined to be a power strip in the bedroom.


Retirements, Promotions, and Hires

The beginning of 2014 brought big changes for BFD. Captain Johnson retired and FF/Paramedic Greg Seymour left for a job opportunity with Keene Fire. To fill vacancies, Mark Geno was promoted to Captain, Dan Hiner was promoted to Lieutenant, and Andrew Blazej and Matthew Hubbard were hired to fill Firefighter positions. Congratulations to all!


Apartment Building Gutted on Green Street

A wind driven, fast moving fire destroyed the apartment building at 72 Green Street early on the morning of 18 December, 2013.


214 Elliot Street Destroyed by Fire

Fire destroyed the 7 apartment building located at 214 Elliot Wed., October 16, 2013. The apartment which originated in an upstairs apartment caused sever fire damage to the upper floor and roof and heat, smoke and water damage to the rest of the building.
